How to get involved

We always welcome interest in contributing to the Scribble project, whether to the language design, type theory or tool development.

The best way to get involved is contact the project contributors, by posting to the Developers forum, and let us know your interests. We can then discuss the based way to move forward.

Information for Contributors

When accepted as a new contributor, you will need to sign the jboss.org Contributor License Agreement. This process can be initiated by selecting the Sign CLA item on the Members menu at the top of the jboss.org home webpage.

You can either sign an individual or corporate license agreement.

Once you have signed the agreement, this will start a workflow that involves the project lead and jboss.org community lead having to approve the application. Once this workflow has completed, if successful, then access will be granted to the project's subversion repository.

Other things to be aware of include:

  1. The Scribble project is licensed under the Apache 2 open source license. You should ensure that all code that is submitted should include the appropriate license header. If unsure, just copy one from an existing file.
  2. Subscribe for notifications on the User and Developers forum. The Developers forum will be used as a means of communication between contributors.
  3. Subscribe to the scribble-commits mailing list, to be informed of changes committed to the scribble subversion repository, as well as notification of events related to the hudson jobs (continuous build/testing).
