JBoss Cache 2.0.0.CR1 "Habanero"
released.
"Habanero"
has now entered a release candidate phase. It is currently feature complete, although I expect at least one more CR before GA. Feedback hugely appreciated, as usual.

JBoss Cache 2.0.0.BETA2 "Habanero"
released.
"Habanero"
is now in it's second and final beta. The public API has been finalised and frozen in the previous beta, but in addition, classes/interfaces like Cache, Node and Fqn have been genericised to add a degree of compiler checking to what goes into these classes. Also, important stability and performance enhancements have been made, as we march on towards a general release, which is now likely to be around the end of May or early June as I plan a long CR period. Community, this is where JBoss Cache needs your help most, to try out these betas and CRs and feed back.

JBoss Cache 1.4.1.GA "Cayenne"
has been released and is ready for production use.
JBoss Cache 1.4.1
"Cayenne"
is now in GA. This is the new stable, taking over from 1.4.0
"Jalapeno"
. A good many bugs have been fixed, particularly issues around optimistic locking, Hibernate integration and data versions.
Note that this release ships with JGroups 2.4.1, and although it is backward-compatible with JGroups 2.2.9 that shipped with
"Jalapeno"
, we'd recommend using the newer JGroups library. This is necessary if you intend to use the
multiplexer
, new in
"Cayenne"
.
