JUDCon 2013: Brazil is a wrap
The first Red Hat Latin American Developer Conference, JUDCon 2013: Brazil is a wrap, and was an amazing success!
Mark Little, who leads the JBoss engineering team gave the keynote to announce to the World the rebranding of JBoss AS as WildFly, and everyone at the event seems to have embraced the change.
The JUDCon 2013:Brazil event had nearly 97 submissions - the largest number of submissions JUDCon history - and the high quality content from both Brazilians and non-Brazilians speakers contributed to this great outcome, producing nearly 70 solid sessions. In addition, we had seven two-hour OpenShift workshops, which were very well attended.
All 27 known Brazilian JUG's contributed to the event by spreading the word in their forums, and with their help and the help of partners such as InfoQ, JavaMagazine, MundoJava, DevMedia, Linux Magazine and CanalTech we had an attendance to 340 developers. Thanks to you all for your help and support! We are already looking forward to next year!
